Carpe Diem, Living For Today!

This whole week, I felt like my whole life is a total waste (Dear Lord, forgive my insolence). It is true that I spent most of my time with my beloved counterparts while waiting for the finalized assessments and interview result of my permanent jobs. Life is beautiful, given the condition if you had so many friends, and (so much) money *fainted*.

Monday and Wednesday, went out for a devastating karaoke session. At first I was reluctant to join since I am penniless, but this was really tempting *sobbing*. Finally, we went to authentic Japanese Karaoke somewhere nearby Somerset MRT. We made quite a horrendous noise which resulted in people’s deadly glare towards us >.<.

They're singing "Balada Seorang Biduan", popularized sometime in middle ages XD

He said "I am a taxi driver in Calcutta" XD

I participated in voluntary activities called Enchanting Indonesia in Orchard Road. This is quite tiring but fascinating as I had chance to meet so many people from other school and experience many things =).

With pretty flatmates ;), thanks for coming

With the so-called designer and pretty models of KratonIndo Batik Company :p

Some consecutive days, we played board game until dusk, and discussing my future plan with Simbah Acay (kudos to him). I draw my life plan until I am 26 years old (I must be quite financially independent given the specific time), and am still in a confusion whether should learn GMAT (concentrating in Business solely) or GRE (specializing in science or art) in order to continue my study next year the fastest. My artistic ability is drop dead right now (which is bad, since it makes me soulless), so I need to take serious art course or join a diploma of art.

Madness, madness! I should have bought a viking helmet in Copenhagen *sigh*

Some days later I accompanied my Bro who went back for good to Indonesia, after finishing a crazy yet embarrassing board game session in Pacific Tea Company in Vivo City T_T. I am still sane!

Back for good, Okay? Back for good

Some days later I escorted my bro to watch National Day Parade (but since we are prideful Indonesians, we employed the infamous Indonesian culture which is (be)late *crying out of loud*, and ended up found nothing more but flows of people overwhelming the MRT station. Afterwards, I made sins by eating ice cream prata after 7 PM =(.

The victim, die die want to watch National Day Parade, poor him XD

a treat : sinful Prata Ice Cream

I kinda miss my friends in campus though, hoping that I can make it on sunday.
I am Blessed ^o^!

My Bro gave me Action Figure Code Geass : Lelouch of the Rebellion that I dreamt so much of! And luckily, it is my sassy Lelouch (and not bitchy Suzaku *giggles*). At first I told him that I was craving for the action figure since I fancied the series so much! And suddenly, he came in the gloomy Saturday and brought the tiny Lelouch to me, saying that it was my graduation gift.

Thanks, thanks very much, frankly speaking I really can’t afford to buy it (at least before receiving my first salary ;p). Even though people said that this acknowledgement sounds super crunchy and corny, I don't care since I really meant it =).

Bad thing is, shameless me is still owing him (belated) Birthday Gift =(. My sincerest apology then. I am really really sorry for being invigilant.

Thou shalt go and die, Suzaku-kun!

Anyway, there will be Season 2 of Code Geass *throwing confetti and eating cakes*. According to Otaku-sama’s speculation, it will be Code Geass : Suzaku of the Counterattack. Most probably, the story will take place with Suzaku as a center *vomiting blood*. I have had enough with the self-righteous character, and if it turns out resembling Gundam SeeD Destiny, perhaps I will bid an adieu to the series =(.

Spoiler Alert!
Cornelia is dead, Damn-Euphie is dead, Clovis is dead, but Orenjii-kun still makes an appearance. What a bad taste replacement!

Child’s Play :
The Misleading King and The New Kid on the Block

Starring :
The Misleading King

The New Kid on the Block

The Innocent Knight

The Military Genius

The Holy Bishop

The Evil Witch
The Stare-Decisis Duke

Once upon a time, in a small faraway land in the edge of the world, lived a King and his best friend, a Holy Bishop. Together, they erected a special community for the talented and gifted prodigy of the country, called the ‘Order of Nymph’. The Order of Nymph with a King and a Holy Bishop in the front row has made a legendary grapevine in defeating other Orders from neighboring countries. Until one time, the Holy Bishop went to another continent for a war, and the King traveled to the northern continent as well, for a deadly battle. They both won and gained glorious rewards afterwards.

The ‘Order of Nymph’ afterwards had new entourages, a charismatic Military Genius, an Evil Witch and a Stare Decisis Duke. The Military Genius was in fact a very talented prodigy, and often involved in many wars to splendor the country, so did the Stare-Decisis Duke. They were both best friend who helped and shared each other a lot. The Evil Witch, in the other hand, realized that she was the only one different from others. She had no resources and even often been under-estimated by others, but she kept on going and tried to flourish the grandeur of the country with her own way, though she also went solo to win some wars.

Time passed so fast, and the Holy Bishop ought to go on a pilgrimage to sharpen his senses. The Military Genius, The Stare-Decisis Duke and The Evil Witch went to a same place on a cross border land in order to learn and study their particular specialties. They vowed to be back to their motherland after fully arming themselves with knowledge. On a later date, The King himself joined those three with purpose to know more about the world and attain the wisdom.

Three years had passed. With unknown reasons, the King started to act peculiar. The King intended to help people but ended up misleading himself and his circumstances. He started to be hated by countless of people. Only an Innocent Knight who was still loyal to him, attempted so hard to bring back the sun king as was in the past. The Misleading King was even being more misleading after he met a New Kid on the Block. They both started meaningless wars which were questioned by people around. The Innocent Knight was stuck in the middle, sadly speaking; he was in fact a victim. He befriended the New Kid on the Block as well as continuously protected the Misleading King.

With overwhelming proud deep down inside, the New Kid on the Block declared a war to the Misleading King, The New Kid on the Block started to form an alliance to combat the King. The Misleading King did the same thing, and he attacked the vital part of his foe :dignity and self image. The New Kid on the Block suffered a great damage and started to win the sympathy of the Innocent Knight, who tends to be on the Kid’s side after this incident. The Evil Witch and the Holy Bishop then came altogether to settle this thing by arranging an open dialogue to both the New Kid on the Block and the Misleading King, in order to promote a strategic peace.

Unfortunately, the New Kid on the Block, leaning on childish immaturity, saw this as a pact against the Kid’s movement to combat the Misleading King. The New Kid on the Block accused the Holy Bishop and the Evil Witch allying with the Misleading King. The Evil Witch found this was super intriguing, while the Holy Bishop, as calm as ever, analytically thought about the next steps of both parties. The Evil Witch then met the Military Genius and the Innocent Knight, and talked about ways to settle this matter. Finally, in a starless night, a secret meeting was held with the Holy Bishop, the Evil Witch, the Stare-Decisis Duke and the Military Genius as the panel of adjudicators to interview and judge the Misleading King and his misleading actions.

As wondering as ever, the Military Genius attempted so hard to debate the Misleading King about his groundless actions, followed by impressive analytical arguments from the Stare-Decisis Duke. The Evil Witch provided the miraculous hidden facts, and the Holy Bishop performed the wisdoms and allegorical example cases. The Big Four in fact, were smart enough to lead the king into the right way, and thereby stop the unnecessary wars. They started to convince the Misleading King that the New Kid on the Block is harmless; at least the Kid is harmful just for the King’s self esteem. The Misleading King then agreed to stop the war.

The declaration of the cease fire then announced by the Misleading King, though still responded a bit immaturely by the New Kid on the Block. The New Kid on the Block asked for forgiveness to the Evil Witch and the Holy Bishop for accusing the wrong things. Basically the Evil Witch and the Holy Bishop are on nobody’s side. They just detest the imbalance of the nature and therefore love peace so much.

The Military Genius is back on his seeking for knowledge, and thank to him, the Misleading King is seemed no longer that misleading. With the Stare-Decisis Duke on the King’s side, who always stands firmly on his decision, the Misleading King will then learn new things in life.

But punishment is still a punishment. The Misleading King shall be banished from the land because of his past actions. This shall be a condemnation for the Misleading King, to act based on reality principle and a responsibility towards others. The Misleading King will embark for a new journey, to seek for wisdom and knowledge on the faraway land and start a new life, to again sparkling shine as a sun king in the past.

Good bye Misleading King, May the new life suits you very well. We’ll pray for your success and safety =).

Regards,

The Evil Witch

Convocation Day!

How was my convocation day? It was both exciting and saddening =p.

With precocious Adilla, my best buddy and my FYP partner

She is still very young, 19 years old and completing her bachelor's degree! What a genius! I am always grateful to have her at my side, as she's more modest and mature than me though I am older than her XD. Thanks, thanks for everything ;).

With Aninto, most probably brilliant guy I'm closest with, a good advisor in times ;)

Thanks for giving me advice and everything while I'm lost, thanks for countless deep chats, thanks for everything ^o^.

With Aconk, my 'Angel' XD, you've done your role impressively, I would give you an A ^o^

With Dhana, a brotherlike guy who always lend me a hand while I need

With Adilla and Otaku-sama, duo weirdos with bizzare yet enlightening points of views ^o^

With Karina, damn smart pretty lady, i really adore her and am going to miss her so badly

I am always being her burden in times, when we were applying for accommodation, registering for extra curricular activities, constructing resumes and cover letter together, copying tutorials (i was copying her by the way), studying together for exam, gossipping anything worthwhile to during the dull nights, etc. She's always there, without even scolding or blaming me at all for my mistakes. Thank you very much, I am going to miss your kindheartedness T_T.

Two genius brothers that I admire (and will always be), thanks for coming T_T

I once saw them when I was still an innocent first grader, and I wasn't even popular at all while being the moving grass, but they were the first to approach me as if giving me silent support to 'pursue' them. Right after that, I passionately joined the English Debating Squad in order to regenerate their position as the senior debaters. Thanks very much bros.

With Bro Hamid, my perfect gossip partner

As if being a news seeker wasn't enough, he claimed himself as 'the man closest to god of gossip'. Well, that's a joke. He is a brother, a friend, an advisor, a helper, an assistant, a servant.. (stop it XD). Thanks very much for granted me your critical views while I was still in Copenhagen. Thanks very much for collecting my invitation card, thanks for everything, promise me that the gossip won't ever be stopped until we draw our last breath, hauhahaha XD.

With Bhro, a guy without 'heart', my gullible 'Mortal' ^o^

With Tegar, a 10,000 dollar guy XD

With Rizaldi, the guerilla night-chatter, benevolent helper =)

With Roomie, my super duper hillarious roomie ^o^

She's the best roomie ever (while I am the worst T_T). She's a hardworker, a meticulous yet ultra friendly and energetic girl, whom I leant so much from. Thanks very much for your kind attention, extra care, advice, everything, and everything. A Putu makes Apret, Apret XD. Thanks for the graduation gift as well. Please graduate as fast as possible so that we could be in the same roof again!

Some members of Superbatch65ers, I'm going first =)

It was such a memorable moment when you saw a lot of friends coming down to congratulate you, even if they have to wake up very early in the morning =). I feel very much loved and appreciated. Thank you very much!

But it was miserable that I ought to leave the school ;_;. I am not a working person, I am a learning type (slow learner to be more exact). I do love to learn everything instead of working >.<.

From now on, it is Apret, Bachelor of Business (Honours) *absolute narcisstic mode=on*

P.S. I too much enjoyed myself taking pictures with friends that I don't have any decent picture with my family!!!! *sobbing*

High School Whimsical

Despite being persistent to hardly fancy my old high school, I visited it some weeks ago, just to celebrate the entrance of my 2 little cousins there as well as to see my sister =p.

The marching band is about to start ^o^

The Proud Marching Band Squad (But it seems that the bass-drums were bigger in my era O_o)

The Newborn First Grader, welcome to the club XD *devilish smile*

And, I AM still very proud of my old high school, regardless of what society skeptically thinks about that, though I really had to undergo severe dark-ages back then while waiting for the uncertain Aufklarung T_T. I just have to play my role there as an insignificant moving grass, a weakling that destinied to be despised by the superiors, et cetera, et cetera, as I am pathetically worse in academic, physical activity and disciplinary (and it can’t be helped).

The 3rd grader corps^o^

I admit that I have had enough with these things in the past: marching towards no end while facing the fierce sun, take the last row within the brigade (since I am categorized as the shortests), almost deaf because of the overwhelming marching sounds, and so on and so forth, but thank goodness now I feel proud once I saw my juniors do what we did in the past ^o^. I am glad that even though nowadays the tuition fee isn't fully paid by the government, the quality of holistic education here doesn't change that much (well, IMHO). Anyway, I am lucky that my batch is the last batch to enjoy the full schoolarship for 3-years education (though I don't think that I am the one worth of it T_T).

Me and my sister

My sister is one of them ^o^

Anyway, my sister cut my hair O_o and I felt like having baldy times since I kinda used to long hair *weeping*. I was playing my Final Fantasy XII and seeing Ashe’s elegant haircut and suddenly craving to have a cut like that too (and my sister bought herself a razor blade and experimented with my hair, as she claimed that she is a professional hairdresser in her dorm XD).

P.S.
I am still questioned the world for being so unfair during my high school era; how come my sister becomes a member of elite patrol squad while I am not, despite the fact that I am a lot prettier than her XD *envious mode*.

Indonesia, A Long Way To Go...

I had an insightful chat with my old teachers there, which makes me ponder about the future of the country, my beloved Indonesia. Being in Singapore for 2 ½ years (and Europe for 6 months if it is taken into account) had resulted me to abandon the passion to rebuilt, restore truly ‘Indonesia’, as was against my pledge and vow 3 years ago once I become the alumnus.

I realized that it is impossible to salvage the vital system of Indonesian government with our capacity as just students (since I do feel like it is rotten from the core). We need to be on the top of everything, in order to change it from the root. (It sounds super naïve and disgustingly idealistic, but this is precisely true). As a scholar, do it in a scholar way to rebuilt Indonesia, as a researcher, do it in a scientific way to reserve the glorious Indonesia, and as a citizen, do it honorably to restore the dignity of the country. Being on the top of everything, be it, and change the system.

I do hope that there’s no such thing as a ‘brain-drain’, though it’s shameless that the government seemed reluctant to keep their own precious resources to make the better Indonesia. The fact is that, the best sons and daughters of the republic are arming themselves overseas in order to create the new born Indonesia as well as resurrect this country into a glorious and independent state once more.

Well, I hope that I am not just hoping an empty hope ;).

Apratz is HOME ^o^

Internet connection sucks! I need limitless patience to connect using dial up connection X(!

I currently reside in Jakarta (and the last two conscecutive weeks I spent in Bandung and Magelang). Honestly speaking I have had enough with travelling, but my family forced me to go with them ;_;.

I will be back in Singapore starting from 22th July to attend Convocation ceremony.

(My sincerest apology goes to my flatmates and for thou who help me taking care of my things ;_; as i seem to runaway to nowhere and leaving all my things behind. I will settle them right after I back there. I need holiday for now ;_;)

[Apret, B.Bus (Honours)]

Copycatting from my dearest’s blog =p, since I am not creative enough to write serious thing XD.

Alhamdulillah, that long and winding journey ends here. So this is just an acknowledgment for some parties that have been so helpful during these three years :

  • Allah SWT, for everything you have given me until this moment. I do believe that you have planned the best thing for me throughout my life. Alhamdulillah, and I know that You are the most merciful, the most compassionate, so I won’t stop to ask You for everything, since human beings like me are so fragile and powerless
  • My parents, for every support and prayers. My parents never ever asked me about how my Exam was, or how did I perform academically, instead they only told me to “eat more, rest more, pray more”, coz they understand how hard my effort was, so they disinclined to pressure me by asking questions that made me distress =).
  • My sister, who always scolding and mocking me when I were home, and tell me about how clumsy I am (but I know that deep down inside she is admiring me *big grin*).
  • My Applied Research Projects partners, Adilla Anggraeni and Abdullah Rubaet Chowdury. I am so sorry for overwhelming you with this, ever since I flee to Copenhagen, both of you have tried hard to accomplish those mundane tasks without my presence. Thank you for all of your understanding, we are a perfect team indeed (according to MBTI test =p).
  • My wonderful and talented NBS fellows who always encourage me to work hard and chase them, Karin, Wewoen, Melissa, Ronal, Nancy, Fieda, Anes, et cetera, et cetera.
  • My NTU fellows especially 2004-2005 batch (my batch)
  • Superbatch Sixtyfivers, we entered college at the same time, but I am so sorry that I will be out 1 year earlier than all of you. The truth is, I don’t want to graduate, I want to still enjoy school-life. I don’t want to enter the dreadful corporate life =(.
  • Those who killed my boredom by entertaining me via msn every night, Otaku-sama, Rizaldi, Bhro, my roomie *grin*
  • Fellow bloggers in my friend-list =).
  • And you, yes, you, who are currently reading this! I would like to thank everyone but you (who I haven’t mentioned before). I am very sorry since I have limited ability to memorise

And after hearing insightful conversation in Canteen 2 last night, with him and him as main speakers, I got the conclusion that, no matter how bad your grades are, you are still a holder of bachelor degree *grin*, as you will only see this in the name card :

Apret Cantik dunkz, B.Bus (Honours)
Desa Sukamakan
Kecamatan Sukamiskin
RT 5 RW 3
Phone : 0809999999

And not like this :

Apret Cantik dunkz, B.Bus (Honours)
(With First Class loh, hore hore hore yeyeyeyey!)
Desa Sukamakan
Kecamatan Sukamiskin
RT 5 RW 3
Phone : 0809999999

Or like this :

Apret Cantik dunkz, B.Bus (Honours)
(First Class loh, EUREKA pula! Keren khan?horeee horeee)
Desa Sukamakan
Kecamatan Sukamiskin
RT 5 RW 3
Phone : 0809999999

-_-“

Anyway I ought to sleep right now, since I feel like my brain doesn’t function normally.

HOW CAN I AM NOT TANNED?

My roomie scolded me for not paying extra care attention to my skinface (now it was horrible, I think =S). And I assume that this is because of my Greece trip =(.

It was burning in Acropolis! Burning HOT! Anyway, this is the famous Pantheon

It was (again) super duper HOT! HOT! (and stupid me wearing black T_T). Taking stairs to hilly Acropolis

Aegina Island, pretty small island nearby Athens (see how i look like, PHANTOMED DARK!)

In case you didn't notice, the sun here is super STRONG and FIERCE, though it seems gloomy

Please look at my hand and voila, see the differences!

Give me back my Copenhagen-fairness T_T...

Pardon Me for Being Random…

Apratz is back to her habitat, the small red dot country of Singapore!

I reached Singapore on the evening of 28th June, being picked up by Dhana and Rizaldi (gazillion of thanks!). Honestly quite disappointed with lesser number of people coming down, since I want to take MRT instead of calling a cab. Too bad my deadly-bulky luggage didn’t allow less manpower to carry them, so in the end I still took a cab *huge disappointment*. Well, I couldn’t really blame people though, since people are busy (but still cannot ease the disappointment, since almost half of my luggage consists of my gifts and souvenirs to people!).

Now I don’t really feel like doing anything. I am so lazy throughout these days *bleh*. I urgently need to weep away this viruses since laziness is one of the seven deadly sin *sounds of thunderbolt*. I left with jetlag, and am currently unable to sleep in the proper time. I need to brutally apply for jobs, since I really intend to go working right after graduation ceremony. Most tutors said that this year is the “employee market”, so average monthly salary is increased significantly and market will be overwhelmed by employers seeking for talent, but the fact now is a lot of people are still jobless (not to mention me, huhu).

Anyway, before taking a flight back to Singapore, I spent a night sleeping in the Kastrup airport since I was homeless in Copenhagen, really no place to stay and I am not exaggerating! It was so cold at night and I didn’t anticipate the hostile weather that time (I thought it was already summer and people craving for wearing one layer clothes). I slept nearby the emergency stairs, lying pathetically just like a penniless vagrant. Now my back really hurts and my hands both look jumbo since I used to carry the 40++ kg luggage here and there. Another bad thing is I got very very very tanned, this is the result of non-stop traveling for one semester T_T, especially in Greece, Austria and Bratislava, when the sun was super strong (I heard that recently the temperature in Greece reached 46 Celcius and people are taken to hospital because of its warm).

I’d like to tell you a bit about my latest trip so far.

Paris (France)

Paris was (surprisingly) an utter disappointment and I am not joking =(. I am not a harsh grader myself, but Paris is an exception. The place is super touristy so people there gave a bad service for the budget tourist like us, students.

People are hardly speaking English, and even if they did, they seem unwilling to help. People are simply not too friendly, just because we couldn’t speak French =(. We have rejected few times when entering a small restaurant to drink coffee (they said “go McDonalds!” O_o). Everything in Paris means money, and shall be used by people to generate money as much as possible =(. Because of the bad service, we need to pay more, just for changing hostel rooms. And I didn’t go to Mont Saint Michel in Normandy, France, because the train ticket price went extremely crazy! (Actually I want to see the area further down from Paris, such as Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Loire Valley or Marseille, but I really CANNOT afford!).

Nevertheless, I was a France geek when I was in Junior High School, and am super familiar with our deficit-Madam Queen Marie Antoinette. I was so happy that I can visit Versailles even though there was a lot of construction held there which made the building less pretty. Interesting thing is, the Sun-King Louis XIV was probably the most narcistic person on earth, since every corner of the room has his portrayal or craft -_-“.

And, I was enlightened of how inspiring the France Revolution is! It was very fantastic when I stepped down in Plaza de Concorde, a place whereby guillotine sadistically chopped off more than 11,000 people ranged from aristocrats and commoners (including Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette). In the other hand, the time when Napoleon made an incredible comeback from his exile was very thrilling. I will explain later when my pics are ready to show, hehehe.

Meanwhile, the interesting thing about my second insightful city, Berlin and the gorgeous Stockholm will be shown later on, since I do believe that people are reluctant to read when they spot no pictures amongst the paragraph.

Lastly, welcome back myself in the lifeless land of Singapore, the place where my breadwinning-activities will take place for the next few years =(.

The Return of Apratz!

Apratz is back from her so-called Bohemian and Mediterranean trip. Internet connection in Dorm is super lousy, so I am not be able to show you more pictures =(. Okay readers, fasten your seatbelt (but not too fast), since I will only demonstrate a flash glimpse.

Prague (Czech Republic)
In my very first impression, Prague seems very mysterious and mystifying. I have no idea about the style of the buildings in Prague (I know that Austria mostly adopts Baroque style, and Italy has mainly the gothic and renaissance style, but not for Prague). But trust me, this is probably my best city after London! Czech’s history sounds bloody, though not as horrid as the London’s Tudor era. Czech Republic in the past became the proof of glory of Hapsburg dynasty in Austria, until they change into communist country before the Velvet Revolution occurred. Nowadays after the so-called commotion they turn into Republic from.

Me and Ian, stepping out the Prague Castle (courtesy of Terri)

Good thing is, everything in Prague is super cheap, especially for food. I always eat extravagant meals in Prague, since the price is almost at the same level as Singapore, but you got the mystic ambience of Eastern Europe feeling!

And I went with super insightful companions, Terri and Ian. Terri is a Law student from NUS and Ian majors in International Relation in London, so I can understand how critical they are. We talked a lot about both the uprising and falling of the socialism idea, Marx the extreme Utopian, the flaws of human-made system, and so on and so forth. This trip is very enriching my inner mind, until so long I can barely talk with people about this kind of issues (since most people will hinder to talk about this matter). I could only remember that the last moment I pay much attention about these was when I joined the English Debating Team in my high school^^.

Bratislava (Slovakia)
Slovakia is one of the countries that mark the fallacy of communism. Perhaps people will be bored when they visited Bratislava, but I agree with Terri that it can be very enlightening for some people.

Small and tranquil town, but very charming (courtesy of Terri)

At the first time I stepped out from Bratislava central station, it brings a heavy reminiscence of Jatinegara Station in Jakarta because it is sooooo similar! The busses remind me of Metromini and the interior of the train resembles me of the economy class train in Indonesia XD.

At night at Danube river (Courtesy of Terri)

Slovakia is even cheaper than Prague and cannot be compared to its neighbor Austria. Good thing is, the place is less touristy so it is very calm and tranquil, unlike in Prague whereby the sights of people are dominated by 25% Japanese and Korean tourists and the rest wears shades and grabs map T_T. I want to see the locals and taste their genuine culture and disincline to see tourists here and there!

Vienna (Austria)
Vienna is the magnificent capital of arts! If you remember Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky. Schubert, et cetera, et cetera, then you must know that they came from Austria (or at least had stayed in Austria). Austria is a student-friendly city –I guess. I watched musical ‘Othello’ in Vienna for just 3.5 Euro =p. I should have gone to Austria for an exchange *grin*.

Vienna the capital city remarks the grandeur of Hapsburg dynasty (with its famous Empress Maria Theresa, mother of Marie Antoinette). It seems that the Hapsburg family loves arts and music so much, since musician and artists were always appreciated with great splendor. The whole city is very pretty, after being overwhelmed with gothic (and neo gothic style), now I am fully enchanted with Baroque and Art Noveau!

Compare Klimt's and the one in Elfen Lied's opening, I love BOTH!

Klimt's "The Kiss" (my favourite) and Elfen Lied's

And, have you ever heard about Gustav Klimt? Now I adore him so much after seeing his works. If you watch Elfen Lied anime, then the opening song plagiarized Klimt’s works. But both of them is super pretty, so I won’t blame the maker of Elfen Lied’s opening =p. I love Vienna so much that I can hardly explain by words. I will spoil all of you with pictures in Vienna later on.

Athens (Greece)
I once a Greek mythology freak and still a Saint Seiya die hard fan, so I have gigantic expectation about Greece, but what I can mostly get is RUINS T_T.

I saw the Parthenon in Athens, and I felt like screaming, where is the majesty statue of Athena, the patron of the whole land? I went to Acropolis, and I felt like going berserk, where is the temple of the 12 zodiac as portrayed in Saint Seiya? Where is the temple of Poseidon? Statue of Hades? (I am about to trance).

Anes and I planned to go to one of the island called Mykonos (but I was oversleeping so we didn’t go at the end. I knew Anes was a bit pissed, I am so sorry T_T), instead we went to one of the island called Aegina, which is less touristy but not lessen the prettiness.

And Greece was super hot! It was about 33 Celsius but the sun was damn-strong. I felt dehydrated and almost fainted in Thessaloniki. Now I lose my Copenhagen-fairness and became super tanned though I applied sun-block ointment for every 2 hours T_T.

Anyway I am going to France on the 12th – 19th of June, and my last stop will be Stockholm and Berlin on the 20th – 27th of June. I will be going back to Singapore on the 27th.

Is anybody free on the 28th of June? If yes, please please pick me up from Changi airport, since I don’t feel like taking a cab to go home (and go by MRT instead) but I still need to carry super duper bulky items. I don’t want to have any unnecessary spending afterwards T_T.

28th of June, arriving Singapore on 17.10, British Airways from London Heathrow.

Thanks in advance ^o^.
